NAIC Christian and Native American Counseling & Therapist Licenses offered
Please note: Active membership in NAIC is required as a prerequisite BEFORE any application for Certification or license process can begin. Other NAIC Memberships are available for those who want to support the ministry.
NAIC Licenses offered:
Primary License is the LCHT: However, additional License qualifications are available based on educational qualifications and ministry.
NAIC License: LCHT Sub-Specialty Ministry Counseling License
- Licensed Clinical Holistic Therapist: LCHT: An NAIC Ordained Minister working in a counseling or mental health field meeting certain requirements
- Licensed Native American Diabetes Counselor: LCHT-LNADC: An NAIC Ordained Minister working in a counseling or mental health field meeting certain requirements
- Licensed Native American Addiction Care Counselor: LCHT-LNAACC: An NAIC Ordained Minister working in a counseling or mental health field meeting certain requirements
- Licensed Christian Counselor: LCHT-LCC: An NAIC Ordained Minister working in a counseling or mental health field meeting certain requirements
- Licensed Pastoral Counselor: LCHT-CP: An NAIC Ordained Minister who holds a Bachelor’s degree and has completed an internship under recognized supervision in Pastoral Counseling
- Licensed Clinical Christian Therapist: LCHT-LCCT: An NAIC Ordained Minister who holds a Master’s degree in mental health and has completed practicum, internship and supervision
- Licensed Clinical Christian Social Worker: LCHT-LCCSW: An NAIC Ordained Minister who hold an MSW degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist: LCHT-LCMFT: An NAIC Ordained Minister who holds a Master’s degree and has completed practicum, internship and supervision
- Licensed Clinical Christian Psychologist: LCHT-LCCP (for Ph.D.’s or E.D.’s. or equivalent): An NAIC Ordained Minister who holds a Ph.D. in Psychology or related discipline, including Advanced Certification in Energy Psychology, therapeutics for Spiritual, Emotional, Mental and psychological illness, having completed internship and supervision
- Licensed Board Certified Chaplain: LCHT-LBCC: An NAIC Ordained Minister who holds an active NAIC certification or license in Christian or Pastoral Counseling and/or meets the other educational, training, and experience in chaplaincy and passes Chaplaincy Board examination and approval.
Mission of the NAIC LCHT License Ministry
To be an association of Native American Christian counselors, therapists and psychologists who glorify God as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to nurture people in sound Biblical faith by providing education, instruction, and other services that will help promote the ministry of Native American Christian counseling.
To integrate faith with reasoning in the behavioral sciences for the betterment of each communicant/counselee, the protection of the general public, and for the Native American Indigenous Church and the body of Christ at large.
To promote professional competence, support, ethics, and growth among all of its members.
To promote pastoral and human relations counseling in appropriate locations for those who need and request such ministry.
To developand provide competent professional testing, systems, methods, and procedures for Christian counselors, pastors, practitioners, clinical therapists, physicians and church laypersons.
To certify and license individuals as Pastoral Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, Clinical Christian Therapists, Christian Social Workers, and Clinical Christian Psychologists, as well as Chaplains and Life Coaches for work and ministry in the inter-tribal community and the greater world.
To define, establish, and maintain professional standards and ethics which confirm member qualifications regarding professional knowledge and practices, honoring our Traditional, Indigenous Cultural heritage and our Christian principles.
To organize its membership in various states, districts, geographical regions, and continents.
To support and encourage communications and extension of the Native American Christian life and witness by offering sound and comprehensive teaching of traditional Native American Religion and Biblical concepts and principles. We are a non-denominational, ecumenical, Christ-centered religious therapeutic ministry.
To recognize, support, and cooperate with various other Christ-centered ministries established by God.
